What is a video intercom?
A video intercom system is a security technology that allows two-way communications. Usually, it is used within a building or collection of buildings that can provide access control and live monitoring. When a visitor requests property access, the intercom sends video and audio footage to a resident. This way, residents can visually confirm who’s requesting access before opening the door or gate.
It can be integrated with existing access control, CCTV, or security system. Remote access can also be available through residents’ smartphones.
The Advantages of a Video Intercom System
